Congestion Pricing revenue represents more than 50% of the remaining funding for the 2020-2024 Capital Program and a much larger portion of remaining state and local funding. A wide array of projects—ADA accessibility, signal modernization, bus electrification, future Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 contracts, and key state of good repair work—all rely on this funding.
Until ongoing litigation regarding congestion pricing has been resolved, we will not be issuing any new construction contract solicitations, with limited exceptions for emergency work, small business mentoring contracts, and small projects with dedicated Federal funding.
