“NYPD Transit officers again demonstrated their professionalism and commitment to protecting subway riders when they apprehended a violent criminal on a northbound #6 train after recognizing him from a wanted flyer related to a stabbing the day before. This arrest removed another weapon from the transit system. We have repeatedly said that it is a priority to stop bad actors before they can commit crimes against other New Yorkers.”

On Background:

  • The original stabbing incident happened on Wednesday, June 1 at the 149th Street/3rd Avenue station.
  • Arrest was made at 7:49 p.m. on June 2 on a Northbound #6 train at Brooklyn Bridge Station.
