January 15-16: Buses Replace Trains Between Floral Park and Hempstead

Weekend UBS Arena service changes
Updated January 10, 2022 10:49 a.m.

On Saturday, January 15, and Sunday, January 16, there will be no train service at Elmont Station, Bellerose Station, or between Floral Park and Hempstead, as we perform switch work near Floral Park. Hempstead Branch trains will be rerouted to/from Mineola. Consider using the Queens Village, Floral Park, New Hyde Park, Merillon Avenue, or Mineola stations instead.

Westbound: Customers traveling from stations Hempstead through Stewart Manor will board a bus up to 40 minutes earlier than usual train times, then transfer to trains at Mineola.

Customers traveling from Bellerose will board buses up to 30 minutes earlier than usual train times, then connect with train service at Queens Village.

Eastbound: Customers traveling Stewart Manor through Hempstead will remain on the train to Mineola, then transfer to a bus for service to their destination.

Customers traveling to Bellerose will transfer to a bus at Queens Village.

Floral Park riders: All westbound trains will depart from Track M3 and all eastbound trains will depart from Track M1.

UBS Arena Service Changes: There will be no service to/from the Elmont-UBS Arena due to switch installation near Queens Village.

If you are going to the UBS Arena, you have two options:

Option 1
Use shuttle trains to Belmont Park, departing Jamaica Station:

  • On Saturday at 1:20 p.m. and 1:33 p.m.
  • On Sunday at 1:55 p.m. and 2:33 p.m.

Option 2
Take a Mineola-bound train to Queens Village station where shuttle buses will be available to the arena.
