Getting to UBS Arena on public transit

About the venue

UBS Arena is located at 2400 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, near the Queens-Nassau County border. It's the home of the New York Islanders. The arena also hosts other special events, such as concerts.

You can get to UBS Arena on Long Island Rail Road, or by taking a New York City bus. The UBS Arena website has more information, including driving directions.

Option 1: Take the Long Island Rail Road or Metro-North Railroad.

UBS Arena can be reached using the LIRR's Elmont-UBS Arena station, which is accessible. Trains on the Hempstead, Huntington, and Ronkonkoma Branches stop at the station every day. It's located about half a mile from the arena. Free shuttle buses are available.

On Metro-North, connect to the LIRR at Grand Central. Use the TrainTime app to buy your ticket from a Metro-North station to Elmont-UBS Arena.

LIRR trains no longer run to Belmont Park station for events at UBS Arena.

Take your ticket with you as you leave the train. It will be checked at the station before you can exit.

Fare: Plan a trip to see your exact fare.

If you have a monthly or weekly LIRR ticket that includes Fare Zone 4, you can use your ticket to travel to the arena.

Option 2: Take the bus.

The Q2 and Q110 buses stop at UBS Arena. The Q2 connects with the  train at Jamaica-179 St. The Q110 connects with the  trains at Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and the  train at Parsons Blvd.

Fare: $2.90 for most riders.

All MTA buses are accessible.
