Getting to UBS Arena on public transit

About the venue

UBS Arena is located at 2400 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, near the Queens-Nassau County border. It's the home of the New York Islanders. The arena also hosts other special events, such as concerts.

You can get to UBS Arena on Long Island Rail Road, or by taking a New York City bus. The UBS Arena website has more information, including driving directions.

Option 1: Take the Long Island Rail Road.

UBS Arena can be reached from two stations, all of which are accessible. We strongly recommend that you download the TrainTime app to find the best station and route for your trip.

Elmont-UBS Arena

The station is about half a mile from the arena, and shuttle buses are available.

Select trains in both directions on the Hempstead, Huntington and Ronkonkoma Branches will add stops at Elmont-UBS Arena when there are events.

When LIRR service to Grand Central begins at the end of this year, it will become a full-time station on the Hempstead Branch with service 365 days a year.

Belmont Park

This special event station is across the street from the arena.

We will run two special shuttle trains between Jamaica and Belmont Park for each event. The first westbound shuttle will leave 15-20 minutes after the event ends. Change at Jamaica for Penn Station, Atlantic Terminal, and all other branches.

Fare: $3.25-$17.75 for most people, depending on your origin station.

Regardless of which station you use, buy a ticket to Elmont-UBS Arena station.

If you are traveling from the Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma, Oyster Bay, or Hempstead branches, select the direct travel option. The ticket will be accepted on all reasonable routes between your origin and any of the three stations, even if you need to travel via Jamaica or use a shuttle bus to complete your trip.

If you have a monthly ticket that includes Fare Zone 4, you can use your ticket to travel to the arena. A special ticket is not required for travel to Belmont Park.

Now that the westbound platform at Elmont-UBS Arena is open, shuttle buses will no longer run between the arena and Queens Village. Do not get off at Queens Village if you are trying to reach the arena.

Option 2: Take the bus.

The Q2 and Q110 buses stop at UBS Arena. The Q2 connects with the   train at Jamaica-179 St, and the Q110 connects with the   trains at Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer.

Fare: $2.75 for most riders.

All MTA buses are accessible.
