MTA Advises Customers of Upcoming Station Repair Work at Williams Bridge Metro-North Station

Metro-North Trains Will Run Express Past Williams Bridge Station From June 20 through July 12 

Bx41 Cross Honoring Metro-North Tickets

 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced planned work at the Williams Bridge Metro-North Station. Work includes replacing the staircases to Tracks 3 and 4 to enhance comfort and safety for customers. Customers are advised that trains will be bypassing Williams Bridge Station for the duration of this work. NYC Transit (NYCT) will cross honor Metro-North tickets on the Bx41 in the interim.

“Station improvements are key to providing better service,” said Metro-North Railroad President and LIRR Interim President Catherine Rinaldi. “I greatly appreciate NYC Transit honoring Metro-North ticket holders on the Bx41 while we work to improve Williams Bridge Station.”

Customers are advised of the following service alternatives:

For Service From Williams Bridge Station:
• Metro-North customers can catch a southbound Bx41 bus at Webster Ave/East Gun Hill Road and ride to the Webster Ave/Beford Park Blvd stop. Customers can board a train at Botanical Garden Station.

For Service to Williams Bridge Station:
• Metro-North customers can transfer at Botanical Garden station and board a northbound Bx41 bus at Webster Ave/Beford Park Blvd and ride to the Webster Ave/East Gun Hill Ave stop.
