275 Total Speakers Have Addressed MTA Leaders and Board Members Through Three Hearings
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) on Monday morning, March 4, held the third of four public hearings on the proposed congestion pricing toll schedule, hearing from 114 speakers in just over five hours of testimony. Including 161 speakers from the first two hearings, 275 speakers have addressed MTA leaders and board members about congestion pricing.
Each speaker was given up to two minutes to address a panel of MTA leaders and board members including: MTA General Counsel Paige Graves; MTA Construction & Development President Jamie Torres-Springer; MTA Chief Customer Officer and Senior Advisor Shanifah Rieara; MTA Chief, Policy and External Relations John J. McCarthy; Deputy Chief, Policy and External Relations Juliette Michaelson; MTA Bridges and Tunnels Chief Operating Officer Allison L. C. de Cerreño; MTA Board Members Andrew Albert, Haeda Mihaltses, Neal Zuckerman, Samuel Chu.
The final hearing before the MTA Board is slated to adopt a recommendation is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., today. Registration for to speak at the hearing closes 30 minutes after the hearing begins.
