Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Bridges and Tunnels is advising motorists due to recent changes to the NYC Triathlon, the Henry Hudson Bridge (HHB) upper level will now be open to traffic for the duration of the city-permitted event, accessible to Northbound (to Bronx) traffic by the Dyckman Street entrance only (via Riverside Drive) this Sunday, July 24, between 4 a.m. and approximately 10 a.m. to accommodate the cycling portion of the annual NYC Triathlon, a city-permitted event.

Beginning at 4 a.m., the NYPD will close the northbound Henry Hudson Parkway from W 56th Street through W 181st Street on Sunday morning, July 24, 2022. Access will remain closed through 10 a.m. for this event. As previously mentioned, Southbound (to Manhattan) bridge lanes remain open.

Motorists should use an alternate route during this period and expect delays. All southbound lanes of the bridge into Manhattan will remain open throughout the event.
