Metro-North Care program

How to participate

If you need assistance getting on or off the train, we can notify train crews in advance. If you have advance knowledge of your travel plans and would like to request help, here's how you do it:

If you would like additional help boarding, we can notify train crews in advance.

  • Call 511 or 212-532-4900 at least two hours before your trip. In Connecticut, call 877-690-5114. Call service is available 24/7.
  • A customer service representative will get details about your request to the train crew.

You can also request help in personĀ from a Station Ambassador at the following locations between 6:15 a.m. and 10:15 p.m., daily:

  • Bridgeport
  • Grand Central
  • Croton-Harmon
  • Harlem-125th Street
  • New Haven
  • New Rochelle
  • Poughkeepsie
  • South Norwalk
  • Stamford
  • White Plains

Please allow at least 15 minutes before your train is scheduled to leave.
