Diversions will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The 2024 MS Bike Tour, scheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 20, will impact motorists who normally use the MTA’s Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, Henry Hudson Bridge and Hugh L. Carey Tunnel. Although the race will not result in the closure of any bridge or tunnel, approach roadways to the facilities, as well as several exit and entrance ramps, will be impacted.
- Hugh L. Carey Tunnel - All Manhattan bound traffic entering the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel must exit north bound onto West Street or Trinity Place.
- Henry Hudson Bridge - There will be no access for Manhattan bound traffic to the south bound Henry Hudson Bridge from the Mosholu Parkway.
- Robert F. Kennedy Bridge - The north bound FDR Drive and Harlem River Drive will be closed. All Manhattan bound traffic crossing the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge will exit onto the south bound FDR Drive or 125th Street.
This independent charity ride operates under permit by the City of New York and will start and end on the West Side of Manhattan for a 30-mile route completely traffic free.
Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts here and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage for the latest information.
