About our July meeting
The MTA will resume holding in-person meetings of the MTA Board and the MTA Board’s committees, held separately over two days.
The first meetings to return to pre-pandemic procedure will be six meetings of the MTA Board’s committees, to be held on Monday, July 19. On Wednesday, July 21, the Board’s Safety Committee will meet at 9 a.m., followed by a meeting of the full MTA board at 10 a.m.
The following committees will meet in July:
- Long Island Rail Road
- Metro-North Railroad
- New York City Transit
- Bridges and Tunnels
- Finance
- Capital Program Oversight
- Safety
- Audit

Public comment

The public comment period for this month’s Committee meetings will return to in-person. Those who wish to participate in the public comment will have the opportunity to register at 2 Broadway in the 30 minutes prior to each Committee meeting.
The public comment period for this month’s board meeting will also return to in-person. Those who wish to participate in the board meeting public comment period will have the opportunity to register at 2 Broadway on Wednesday, July 21, 30 minutes prior to the meeting, between 9:25 a.m. and 9:55 a.m.
In keeping with MTA rules, each speaker will have two minutes. Participants are required to adhere to the MTA’s Code of Conduct, which you may read below.
We are still observing some COVID-19 safety protocols, and seating capacity may be limited. The public is encouraged to watch the meeting online here via livestream.

- 10 a.m.: Joint LIRR/ MNR Committee
- 11:30 a.m.: New York City Transit
